"They say" that God doesn't give you more than you can handle. Gosh, He thinks I'm stronger than I am. My mother died. I had my 29 year old son in the emergency room, not sure whether it was heart problems or a "mere" panic attack. The weather has been horrid, so horrid, in fact, that hubby had a fender bender on the way to work the other day in a snow/ice storm. Luckily, he wasn't injured. Not so luckily, he hit a state trooper.
Sorry for your loss and medical scares. O dear, was the trooper understanding or are we talking about tickets on top of deductibles?
I sometimes think God overestimates me as well...but there's no other alternative but to keep pushing back at lifes...annoyances.
When the trooper called here because he forgot to get the mileage from hubby's car, he told me, "I HAD to give him a citation." And I sweetly answered, "No, you didn't have to do that." It didn't hurt the trooper's car at all. Ours, probably about $800 damage to the back door. So, yes, a ticket and deductible.
The cop was understanding. Thank goodness.
