Transsexuality- Good, Bad, Mad or just Sad?

Scripture teaches: “Male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27). But in our fallen world, many now claim that gender is a matter of choice, feelings, or identity rather than biology and God’s Word. Should the exception be the basis of the new normal or do traditional understandings hold weight for good reason?

It appears Charlie Kirk was shot for his views on transsexuality. This raises urgent questions: Can a man truly become a woman, or a woman a man? What happens when feelings replace truth? Is it fair for men who identify as women to compete in women’s sports? What is the impact on children when they are told to question the bodies God gave them?
Is transsexuality good, bad, mad, or just sad?
Seabreeze Author Icon - Love the person, hate the sin is a good way to look at things and if they are not directly harming others by their decisions then a certain freedom of latitude is expected in a democratic society and indeed a truly Christian theocratic one also - God gives us space to mess up. But words are powerful and cross boundaries into peoples comfort zones regardless of whether they were invited in. Can we eliminate ideas we do not like by violence? Clearly many people think so. Is the right to speak just about love or also about truth, about fears of a culture of lies and corruption tainting all? Either way this conversation is not just going to die away and so a proper comprehension of the issues is desirable. Please feel free to expand on your thoughts in an entry this month. The fact of disagreement and the level of the divide is relevant to the discussion of the issues also. If we cannot agree to talk then a partisan culture eventually just goes to war with itself.
I think the angst comes from the world-view of Christians.

People of other faiths don't share the same worries.

To sum up what some of us think: we are a soul having a human experience. People have different experiences. The best we can do is be supportive, kind and have good boundaries.

Charlie Kirk, like many, was critical of other people's experiences and did not embrace people of different faiths.
Kåre เลียม Enga Author Icon - in the case of gender dysphoria there are usually a host of mental illnesses present also. The decision to apply gender reassignment can often be made by parents or so-called psychiatric professionals upon minors. But recent studies in NHS England and Finland indicate that the mental health care should be the first port of call. The affirmation of nonbiological gender identity is not necessarily about the promotion of another person's sense of wellbeing it can be the simple mutilation of minors. We have given too much authority to people who cannot heal but who can cause harm

I ran the Greenland commanders' email (the one that got her fired) through Chat GPT this morning to see if it could communicate concern for local sensibilities without resulting in termination. I got the following result:

CHAT GPT
"While I may not be privy to the broader strategic considerations shaping current policy, I remain fully committed to supporting the guidance and priorities of the U.S. administration. At Pituffik Space Base, our focus remains on fostering strong partnerships and maintaining operational excellence in line with national objectives."

ORIGINAL
"I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base,"

Should she have just let Skynet write it? *Wink*

Check out the "Grill a Christian" contest this month, which is all about communication with God and each other.

What is missed: Col Meyers first name is Susannah. I suspect it didn't matter what SHE said. Women have been removed from leadership positions nationwide.
Kåre เลียม Enga Author Icon - I guess a lot of these women were Democrat leaning political appointees. But even so some of their replacements should have been women. Hegseth's books indicate that he regards women as less lethal. You are right there is a pattern and possibly a policy at work here.

It would be interesting to hear some atheists, Muslims or Hindus answer this one.

Are you a miracle or an accident?

Is there a mind behind all things or do things just happen at random, or as a result of a long process of random events now solidified in natural laws? Has science overthrown the notion of special creation with its theories of abiogenesis and evolution? How does your answer to this question contribute to the way that you approach life, the universe and everything?
Check out my new contest - Grill a Christian - I hope to explore some tough questions with you guys there.

Her Majesty the Queen is dead after a life of exemplary service to God, the people of the UK, Realms, and the Commonwealth. Her reign encompassed enormous changes not least from Empire to Commonwealth of equal nations. Now she lays down her crown at the feet of the King of Kings and goes to be with her dearly departed husband. May she rest in peace, God save the King!
This poem has been doing the rounds on social media:

Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as I whispered that “I know”

I then turned and looked behind me,
and seen I was asleep.
All my Family were around me,
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and walked,
with My Angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he lead the way,
to a world where King’s and Queens,
are Monarch’s every day.

I was given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the peoples friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our Palace up above.
