I've just edited an item in my portfolio:

Today Forbes dot com picked up one of my blog posts. *Grin!* They made it anonymous though. http://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2016/02/18/dear-mrs-obama-why-i-gave-up-m...
NaNoWriMo put a kibosh on my editing. I am currently on edit #4 of my novel. I finally made progress today by plugging through Two plus scenes. I have 35 pages of 465 left to review. Then it's on to number five. The next will be more of a read. Back to structure with a darling hunting knife. With any luck, I hope in the new year to be able to try to approach agents. We'll see. I don't feel good enough about it yet.
I haven't posted any prose in forever. This is a scene I recently wrote for my 2012 novel. I hope you enjoy it.

"Thank you" is the approporiate response to a review. Anything more, good or bad, steps over the line. It now becomes a battle, a wall, or a collaboration. Just say "thank you," assess the feedback in your own way and time, and move on. No, I'm not aiming this at anybody in particular. It's a general observation all writers should understand. If you wish to discuss, and your reason better be important, ask if it's okay to discuss before jumping in. No means no.
Moments ago I submitted my entry to Canada Writes' short story contest. http://www.cbc.ca/books/canadawrites/literaryprizes/shortstory/
