You deserve the chance to be published, you are an artist and not just a writer. I see a lot of me in you. I am not a perfect poet but I have talent, or so my college and university professors and many readers and writers have told me, but I get so caught up in the artistic part of the process that I can not see the problems in my work until they are pointed out to me. One of my greatest joys as an artist is when someone cares enough about this art and me to point out my mistakes so I can see and fix. Your work is a true work of art but there are some mistakes that need to be corrected before publication. I have had some people disagree with me but my teachers and mentors have told me not to get caught up in proper form and spelling or punctuation while I am writing because it disrupts the creative process. After the piece is finished then you can worry about editing it to fit the rules then get some knowledgeable people to look it over and point out the problems. Ergo, my subscription to this fine website.
I could be mistaken but I think this describes you pretty much as well but either way, you are an artist and it would be a true shame if you left this earth without first sharing your art with the world.
I am proud to know you.
