"I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me." ...Memories of Newton - from Collins Gem Dictionary of Quotations 1961 (from my collection of books)
Reading excellent story in Reminisce magazine. Came across poem called Harlem and it starts out, "What happens to a dream deferred?" Love his choice of words as he ask the question about a dream. Poem was big in the 50s but still appropriate today. You can find it on the Web.
