Over the past year, I lost a total of 36 pounds! I reached my goal in only one year, and I have maintained that loss for the last 6 months. Yay me! I'm really happy about this. All I did was get my wonderful hubby to buy me a SmartPhone, then I downloaded an app that I had heard about on TV shows multiple times: LoseIt!
And I started counting calories and doing a bit of exercise, not much. And I made sure to stay below my calorie budget every day. That's all. It was super easy! I'm really happy with it, so I thought I'd share. I know everyone has a hard time, espc. at holiday time.

| Tonight, in honor of those small lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary, I will shut off the lights on my Christmas tree. I can not celebrate when those families are mourning. It is an unimaginable heartbreak. |
| I'm happy to report that I've now lost 31 lbs. My goal weight is a mere 2 lbs away. I love LoseIt! Met some great friends there, too. |
| As of today, I've lost 22.6 lbs. Soon will hit my mini-goal of 25, then Jan is the target date to lose a total of 30. I love LoseIt, it's made losing weight so easy. And I'm not embarrassed to be seen any more! Yay! |
| 21 pounds down, 9 to go. And the best thing is, I wasn't even tempted by the Hallowe'en candy. I had a strawberry smoothie instead. :) |
In June, my husband bought me a smartPhone, specifically because I'd heard a lot of good things about this app called LoseIt. Well, I've been really good about logging food and weighing myself, and guess what....
Today I hit my goal of losing 20 POUNDS! I can't say how excited I am about this. I feel wonderful, and it was really easy. Only 10 lbs to go and I'll be back to "the real me." I just had to share this wonderful news!

| My new (refurbished) washing machine was supposed to be delivered 3 days ago... some baloney about it having to be special-ordered. Anyway, it's promised (again) for tomorrow, so fingers crossed! X X |
