My own day...
Named by the French,
Storm Goretti is the first storm to hit the UK in 2026

Goretti actually sounds Italian?
Annette Author Icon -
Yes I thought that,
But if I heard correctly and I was doing something else they said on the TV they'd already used the earlier letters with the storm season starting in Autumn,
But now you've questioned it I'll have to investigate
Annette Author Icon -
Apparently the storm list runs from early September to the following August to coincide with the start of autumn
Susie Author Icon - that explains it. Thank you for looking it up.

Hey Susie, you're a clever one. Do you want to join "26 Paychecks Open in new Window.?

I'm still collecting participants until January 15, then it'll be closed off for participants only.
Happy anniversary 🎁🎉🎁🎉🎁
13 Hours to go until Midnight,
I'll wish everyone a Happy NewYear now,
I'll probably be Inebriated by the time we get to Midnight 🥳

I don't seem to have seen a mention of
Brigitte Bardot today,
Another screen icon passed away
Aged 91
RIP

She was many "hormones in tennis shoes" teen boys fantasy when I was growing up.
I think we should all raise our glasses to Santa who once again delivered all those presents in,
34 HOURS and 24 MINUTES
🥂🍻🥂🍻
Boxing Day is a tradition from Victorian times,
Wealthy families would give "Christmas Boxes" filled with gifts or money to their servants and tradespeople as a thank you for their service throughout the year,

Also churches had boxes for donations which were handed out to the poor on December 26th

It's 3AM on the east coast of the USA. The jolly fat guy has come and gone. Looks like a lump of coal again.
Today's the Winter Solstice,
The shortest day and longest night in the Northern Hemisphere,
Tomorrow the days will slowly lengthen,
I personally prefer the long dark nights being cosy by the fire
Just back from the Supermarket this morning for some bread and milk,
You'd think food was going to run out, the place was packed,
Get a grip people there's 4 more shopping days,
Not only that but the Supermarkets are only closed for one day,
The best part,,,,
Give someone a trolley,
It's Dodgems all out WAR
🎄🎅20 Days to go🎅🎄
🎅30 days to go🎅
🎅40 days till Christmas 🎅
Looking forward to the smell of Bonfires burning tonight and Fireworks lighting up the night sky.

🎅50 days to go 🎅
