This is a very emotional and liberating piece of work. I emjoyed reading it from start to finish. The symbolism is powerful and encouraging. Perhaps the gardenia plant is a symbol of hope, success, picking yourself up after a tragedy. This piece really works as a triumph over tragedy story.
