WOW! I was immediately drawn into the story. The descriptions are magnificent. I love the way the story allows you to use your own imagination. I think the story is metaphorical. The people are deceased. Their spiritual bodies are embodied in the illusion of who they were not who they are now. The boats are their transportation to the after life. The boats also represent their desire to leave who they were behind and venture forward, FORWARD. The ocean represents their journey to the afterlife. The storm that Samantha was drawn into was her final destination. She was drawn into hell for eternity. The other 31 people found paradise, peace, eternal life in heaven. You are talented. That is for certain. With great appreciation for your work, Claude.
I was instantly drawn into the poem by the subject of the poem and the words that you used. There were a couple of lines that threw me off for a few seconds. After reading the beginning of the following line I understood. Ex. The unicorn reached full speed before I could draw. My only regret is that it isn't longer. I wanted to read more.
What you have written looks very interesting. I want to continue reading your book. It just pulls me into to it. The only thing is that I had a little problem following some of your descriptions. They seemed a little long. But all in all this is some great reading.
I learned some very important tips on how to promote my portfolio URL. Thanks. I still have a lot to learn about writing.com and all its features. I hope to have more time to dedicate to writing and this website in the near future.
