Wow, I really enjoyed this, it really is a topic I've not read before. I mean, I've seen stories about inequality, but I really like this one about the absence of a soul, it struck me as very clever.
But the aspect I liked the most, is the dialogue, I love conversation in stories, and this one revolved around one, and that it didn't flow like many conversations do in writing jumped out at me. Many arguments seem to be to provide a comeback, I did not get this from your story.
