A really good piece of writing. Even though it's short, it gives a cold shock, and yet it also fills the reader with warmth.

The reader is left wondering what the circumstances of the story are, if there is more behind it, and this encourages him or her to think about it more and more, even if it is such a taboo subject.

At first read I though that it could do with some more description of the general environment, but then I realised that the less description like this there is, the better - the story is more about their love than anything else.
