This poem is devastatingly painful to read.But every truth in words or in actions is like that. Sharp,bold,vulnerable,piercing in its treatment of emotion and in confronting it no matter how wrenching it is.One reads this nice piece with a feeling of sadness and yet with the accompanying hope that the other would learn the gravity of the pain he or she had intentionally or unintintionally given.Yet, as its sticks in to your mind after reading it,what is left is the realization of empathy that each one of us experiences the same reaction as the poet.jashobeam
