Enjoyable read. My one wish is that the ending was more straight forward - did you crash? did you wake up from a dream? However of course this is a fine piece as it is, and it is just my opinion. Keep writing!

This is a delightful sestina. The ending words were chosen quite well. I loved the imagery I got from this - the children too happy, rosy cheeks, freezing laughter - simply beautiful.

Beautifully written, both pieces. There is a haunting feeling to both. I love it! I would just kindly suggest to space out the commas so they are not touching the words that follow.
