tbanks for sharing something so personal to you, I enjoyed the story, and your walk of faith which led to healing. I also enjoyed seeing and learning about some of the jewish traditions. I am not biased nor prejudice against any religion. In my recovery fellowship, the book tells me to be quick to see where religious people are right. I drank for many years after a good friends suicide, but my drunkenness didn't bring Matt back, I go to visit a tree at his parent's home where they placed his ashes. I have left tokens of appreciation there much like you did with the Grateful Dead Sticker. I can totally relate to story and appreciate the tools you use to work through your pain.
I can put myself "the reader" into your story. Knowing how great a bath feels after a long hard day. The soak in the tub always leaving me feeling refreshed, until the water turns cold and I am forced to get out and all shriveled up as if I am a prune. thanks for sharing your personal opinion of bath time, cleanliness and hygiene are important for us all, but thank goodness for the bath as the relaxation time is worth it all.
I can see the flame in my mind, is the shadow on your heart caused by the flame, or the cigarette you lit with it lol, perhaps the tip lit the smoke and caused me to choke, the shadow clung to my right lung. :)
hahaha, I kind of saw how this was going to end. maybe got a bit repetitive, bending over to laundry, the paper etc. could susie have done other things to turn on jake, besides only bending over? bending over to the coolers. hmmm anyway. good story and humorous, but a little long winded to get the point.
I can relate, the relationship I'm in we were friends for 7 years I loved her and then fell in love with her and I still can't believe that she is mine. I fall in love more every day and she is the most beautiful amazing woman
