Great story! I loved it! I have to tell you that I am a guy and you brought tears to my eyes when I got to the part where your friend invited you and mom to her 19th floor apartment. For some reason, such acts of human kindness always melt my heart as the warms rays of the sun do to a snowflake. It is beautiful that you are so awake, sensitive and aware of the subtleties that express themselves in our lives. It is beautiful that you were able to recognize the hand of God in that apartment, knowing that everyone you loved was completely safe and sound. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Grace! I loved your story! You captured my attention and kept me intrigued! I kept wondering where the plot would take me! I sense a love story unfolding with the mysterious gentleman who asked you to help him select a sofa. I kept wondering if the familiarity had to do something with a past life, a possible soul-mate? Then Henry's illness, there were many magnetic pulls, drawing me in wonder with regards to what could unfold! Your story reminded me of the times when I was younger and my mom and aunt would get together to watch a soap opera. I wanted to spend time with my mom and aunt so I too would watch and I remember the frustration I would feel at the end of the hour because the drama always seem to end in a way that would leave you intensely wondering what was going to happen next. The nice thing was that I had something to look forward to! So, I want to know where the story is headed! What happens with the mysterious gentleman? With Henry? Thank you for sharing your story, for sharing is indeed caring.
