This poem is true and simple. It definitely speaks of experience and I agree that life is certainly what we make it. A quote that I came up with was "Life will not turn out poorly unless you sorely believe it will." I came up with it after I started writing again when my "recovery" began. It can be easy for a person to begin disliking themselves or their circumstances if they let someone else have to much control. My life now seems so much better and richer after all of the troubles that I went through. I would not take my experiences back because I learned so much from them. I thank God every night that I am still alive and ask him to help me help myself. I'm guessing that this poem came from your own personal challenges?

I liked the concept of everyone being on their own journey. It seemed like it needed more depth though. I'm not sure how you wanted it to come across, and maybe I'm not understanding it well enough? Was that last bit a reference to heaven and hell? Oh and why did Samantha's boat get hit before being found? Sorry about my load of questions.
