Finding a true friend is one of the best things that can happen to a person. I like your story very much. I, too, am very new and hove not discovered the Secret Pal site yet, but am working my way around. I like the continuity, the slow revelation. The fact that it comes from the heart shows in your choice of words and also conveys the emotion of happiness. Keep up the good work!

I liked it very much; this is why: I have 3 cats of my own and can picture the various colors and the kitten up in the tree. I also do crocjeting and hvve done cross-stitch as part of the pattern, so I can visualize the poem from both aspects.
As a suggestion, consider the possibility of putting a period at the end of the word "present" (3rd line up from the bottom) and capitalizing the word "I" (second line up from the bottom).
