Wow, imagine finding a quote from Boswell here on writing.com!
I was not even aware of many of these works, other than Faerie Queene. The part about the current (to Shakespeare) story of the knight and his daughters is even more intriguing.
I'll have to read King Lear again with fresh appreciation. Thanks for posting this wonderful piece.
It's incredible what you can do here... FREE! I choose to financially support writing.com because I believe in its mission, but for those who can't, it's a God-send. Good for you for standing up for your work here.
I'm so glad you listened to the Holy Spirit, too. What a wonderful service it must have been. I felt a faint glimmer of the joy you must have felt. I'm glad you're posting these!
I voted for Richard Nixon and I'm almost 50... do I qualify? Here are 100 GPs to bring your balance up. Come visit my port sometime. Lots of my characters are "too old to trust" if you know what I mean.
I liked this essay about the people of Somalia. Their way of life is different from ours, yet the people have the same hopes and dreams of a good life for their families. We need to understand the culture and philosophies of other people in this world if we want to learn to help each other. The Somali proverb "If people come together, they can even mend a crack in the sky," is very appropriate.
I'm sending you a separate email with some thoughts on this fine story. I loved it. It reminds me of Ambrose Bierce's "An Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge."
This site is addictive! Great writing, feedback for authors---it has it all. I love it and am telling everyone I know about it. I'm even considering having business cards made...
Good advice. I hadn't thought of doing the tell-a-friend by having someone pass along my link. I'm going to ask my mom to do that. She has a hundred email addresses in her address book.
