| 1. Synopsis of Story: The CC is the orphaned son of the were royal family. He is taken in by a couple who are merchants and raised as their own son alongside the three daughters they have. Their home is raided one day and his adoptive parents and two of his sisters are murdered. Ryder himself is seriously injured. When he recovers he discovers that only two of his sisters’ bodies were found, his third sister had disappeared with no trace. He joins the army and becomes one of their greatest warriors. Whilst in the army he discovers that the raid on his adoptive parents’ home was not a random act of violence but had been planned. He leaves the army so that he can track down the killers and who ordered the killing. On his quest he uncovers many secrets that lead up to a deadly conclusion. 2. Sketch of Central Character: He is a loner with a great secret about his true identity. He avoids close relationships with people as those he cares for tend to get killed. He is focused on getting the vengeance of his family to the extent that he refuses to consider anything else in his life. 3. CC’s Wants Needs and Desires: Wants to avenge the death of his adoptive family. Needs to know that those who ordered their deaths have been punished so that he can stop hearing his sisters crying when he sleeps. Occasionally desires the chance to have what his family had. 4. Life Changing Event: When staying in a town waiting for his stallion he recover from a leg injury he discovers that the sister he thought had been stolen and killed somewhere was actually alive. He has a row with her but then she asks him to stay and give her away at her wedding. After much internal conflict he decides to stay and gets to know his sister and the people who found her and raised her. As he stays with his sister he finds the desire to gain vengeance fading. He starts to enjoy his new life until he is forced to question what he truly wants. |
