Introducing the final revelation that came to Prophet Muhammad -The Book called Al Quran
The necessity of substantiating ones claim or theory can hardly be overemphasized especially in this age of scientific explosion. This is the demand of the modern age irrespective of the claim being that of a scientific issue or a divine one.

Allah has chosen whom He wills to be his Messengers and Prophets.

1. Musa's (PBUH) era:
Prophet Musa (Moses, PBUH) was sent by Allah to the Children of Israel. As would expected, his people asked him for evidences to prove that he was indeed a Prophet of Allah.

Since the people of those days were well versed in sorcery, Allah supported him with a miracle of a type that was familiar and popular among his people. Among many other miracles He gave Musa the staff to convert into a serpent that devoured whatever the magicians and sorcerers produced. That convinced the magicians of the truth of Musa’s religion and they immediately accepted his religion.

2. Eissa's (PBUH) era:
‘Eesa’s (Jesus, peace be upon him) people were well versed in medicine science. So Allah supported him by a miracle of the same nature. Well known among his miracles are that his bringing the dead to life by Allah's permission as well as curing the blind and the lepers.
The Qur’an says: I have come to you with a sign from your Lord that I design for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it and it becomes a bird by Allah’s leave and I heal him who was born blind and the leper. And I bring the dead to life by Allah’s leave. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe. [Chapter 3 Verse 49]

However, since the messages of Musa and ‘Eesa were for their specific communities and times in the past those miracles were not meant to last forever.

As per Allah's divine plan it was time to send an everlasting mission for all humanity. Almighty Allah sent Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the final Messenger to complete the messages of all the previous Prophets and Messengers. The message of Muhammad was the seal of all those previous messages and it is what will suffice mankind until the coming of the Final Hour.

The Qur’an says: Say (O Muhammed), O Mankind, Verily I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allah…[Chapter 7 Verse 158]

As an evidence of this is the fact that this Book – Al Quran is preserved for over 14 centuries. As it was in the beginning so shall be it till the end of time. It has survived without any substitution, addition, deletion or change. Despite efforts of those who have tried and spent much time and wealth to find any alteration in it, they have failed.

Now the question that will prop up is - ‘If Muhammad is the final prophet and messenger then present a proof that is relevant to our time?’ The answer for this as follows:

In the Noble Quran, which was revealed over fourteen centuries ago, are many scientific facts that have only recently come to light. These scientific facts are enough to affirm the miracle of Muhammad viz., The Noble Quran. A few of these facts are discussed below:

1. Allah Almighty says in the Qur’an,
He has let loose the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting again together. Between them is a barrier which neither of them can transgress. Then which of the blessing of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? [Chapter 55 Ar-Rahman Verses 19 - 21]

Contemporary science has proven the existence of a barrier of water that divides fresh and salty water within the oceans and seas around the globe. This barrier was scanned by satellites from outer space. Who could have informed Muhammad, who could not read or write and who lived in the desert and never rode a boat or saw the ocean about that scientific fact? Who but Allah – The All Knower can inform this? Is this not a proof against all creation until the Final Hour.

2. The Stages Of Embryonic Development In The Womb

Modern science has discovered stages of development of the embryo in the womb of the mother. This has only occurred after the advancement of medical science particularly after the invention and improvements to electronic microscope. Yet the Qur’an – revealed to Muhammad over 1,400 years ago - spoke about this fact using the clearest of expression at a time when people only had as means for transport camels, horses, mules and donkeys. Allah says in the Qur’an:

O mankind! If your are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily We have created you from dust (i.e. Adam), then from a nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge - i.e. the offspring of Adam), them from an ‘alaqah (hanging leech-like), then from a mudghah (little lump of chewed flesh) some formed and some unformed (the internal organs of the embryo at this stage are partly unformed and partly formed), that We may make it clear to you (i.e. to show you Our power and ability to do what We will.) And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, then cause you to grow that you may reach your age of full strength, Among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought to old age so that he knows nothing after having known much. [Al-Hajj Chapter 22 Verse 5]

However, who told Muhammad (peace be upon him) about this hidden knowledge? Indeed it was Allah so that this message would be an everlasting one.

3. Allah says in the Qur’an:

Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing, Will they not then believe? [Chapter 21 Al-Anbiyaa Verse 30]

Who told this simple desert dweller that the earth and the heavens were once joined together as one massive piece? Allah Almighty, the Creator of both the heavens and the Earth! It is He who chose Muhammad (peace be upon him) to be the final Prophet and Messenger to all mankind.

Will you not be interested to know who this Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is and what is the message that is contained in the book 'Al-Quran' that was revealed to him? Why don't you obtain one copy of the translation of its meanings in your own language? I am not asking you to convert to Islam though I shall be very glad if you would. I am only asking you to do a favour to yourself. Read it yourself. It is hardly 1/3rd of the New Testament. Give a chance to this Book.
