Living Losers

Helpless are the hands of those
who will that it be so
and useless are the feet
that have no place to go.

Blinded are the eyes of them
who look but never see
and lonely is the heart
that lives to disagree.
-
Hopeless is the one so learned
that he cannot be taught
and pitiful the man
who gives himself to naught.
-
Help will never find the one
who chooses to refuse
and hope cannot restore
the one who votes to lose.
-
Eyes that choose to never see
are blinded eyes indeed
and feet that will not walk
will never learn to lead.
