I wrote this in rehab.
With a false sense of pride I began to lose control of my resentment for others and became aware of my addictive disease. A positive attitude made me realize that my addictive thoughts and beliefs added more pain, than none, to the situation when faced with adversity.

Awareness will influence me positively, allow me to enjoy life more and help me make decisions that would have left me frustrated before my sobriety.

By taking the steps through recovery of my addictive disease, I will develop a new distinguishing characteristic about myself: humiliated insanity. Utilizing commitment, self-confidence, vigilance, and acceptance I will develop a positive attitude and awareness that will help me sustain sobriety.
