a simple cat chase...
Round and fat with short little legs
That blur as he chases them.
Tongue lolling and wet, he is smiling always,
And laughs as he chases them.
He bounces through the tall grass,
Black ears pricked in a certain alertness
He sees the kitty.
He wants the kitty.
He has trapped the kitty on the fence.
He waits and smiles,
Laughs and waits.
Here kitty-kitty!

Narrow-eyed the cat
Looking for the right escape,
Sees the black dog distracted
Breaks for Freedom, but halted
In her tracks.
He only wants to play and lick
But she intends to scratch.
And scratch she shall and
Reaches quick with lightning
Paws and rips him good.
He howls and his smile turns
Pathetic. Oh..Sissy-boy!
