Inspired by Franck Andre Jamme
Today, I discovered a curious small book written by Franck Andre Jamme, a poet. His writings are similar to those found on small gold leaves in ancient Egyptian graves. A single leaf folded in the hands of the deceased was written in the form of a tablet--the words pressed together in a perfect square or rectangle. The words served as maxims or simple observations. Jamme's tablets are wise and wonderful to read. I enjoyed making these first few tablets of my own. Capturing the message is an important part of the journey. These are odd looking but fun to create.

In ancient times, these poems were added to the coffin when a family member died.
