I Forgive You

The silence is deafening
The stillness-
    so shrill.
I've been waiting for you to find me..
I don't think you will.
You left without a word,
Crept out like a thief in the night.
Not a note,
        Not a text,
                  Not a single goodbye.
But it's ok..
I understand.
Maybe our season is over.
So forgive you....I can.
Forever for us was not meant to be.
And though you will not ask-
My forgiveness is yours to keep.
