The Japanese maples are my favorite trees
The Japanese Maples

The Japanese maples are my favorite trees.
The Bloodgood red maple is sure to please.
On the first day of spring which is here today,
The leaves start to show, and their colors replay.

The reds and greens are a glorious sight.
Every year they always do bring to light,
The joy that they give throughout all the year
Is shared by those, who take the journey here.
I’m always excited to give a tour
To young and old, that the red leaves do lure.
Once visitors arrive, their breath it does take,
The beauty of these majestic trees, by the lake.

Once again some will leave here with great cheer;
This usually happens sometime every year.
When I give them a baby tree of their choice,
They give many thanks and often rejoice.

This is one joy to a garden you see,
To share the fruits of my labors with thee.
I have shared many smiles with those who stop.
Giving baby trees away is never a flop.

So now you do know the very best thing,
That a gardener can share his work and bring,
To so many he meets, such joy and surprise;
And may kindle their inner gardener to rise.
