This poem describes a beautiful Easter Hat.
I thought I would write an Easter Sonnet,
a poem about a hat with a wide brim.
Gingham ribbon bedecked Easter Bonnet.
with every kind of flower it was trimmed.

There roses blushed as pink as bubblegum,
nestling beside baby’s breath white as snow.
And tiger lily’s neighbor was gold mum,
the ribbon tied into a drooping bow.

Where Shasta daisies winked their yellow eyes,
and every kind of greenery was looped.
Such foolery still comes as such surprise.
Even a fuzzy bumblebee was duped.

Fashion’s mistake when wearing on one’s head
what once was living things but now are dead.
