Love's first bloom
Their eyes meet for the first time
A flicker of recognition felt deep in their souls
Of something that could be, a possibility
Two smiles brighten, a feeling shared
A whisper passes between them, unheard
Felt and acknowledged by them alone
Pheromones waft about, odorless
Affecting and touching their souls
Warmth spreads around them, untouched
Seen and known by only the two
Eyes peer into each other’s hearts, unseen
Sensing and learning of each other
Mouths longing to savor, tasteless
Thoughts and desire fueling the imagination
Their senses react to but a whisper, a sigh
But souls do not know the difference
Contact has been made, yearning follows
Cravings to touch, to know, each other
It starts with just a whisper
