The genre prompt is NATURE. The poet is sad because there are no rhymes for the the word, nature, so he employs Wolf, who also has no rhyming mate to write a poem in free verse. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ![]() ![]() "There is no rhyme in nature," howls the wolf Birds and lizards The words of wizards' Like whales and snails Beast or fowl Now howl, in nature, "no rhyme for the wolf" The poorest of tourists on this planet's granite Chorused most sorest, in the fallen forest No rhyme, with no reason In nature's last season Oh howl, so foul, now nature's lone wolf Needs and exceeds then impedes plain's rains No grains, and no feeds Just some dust and some weeds On the edge of nature, the wolf's silence is heard No breeze through the trees No song of a bird No nature, no wolf, and no rhyme No rhyme, yet, there's time set, for one final notion The unfulfilled promises adrift on the ocean In nature, the wolf scowls, there is no rhyme 21 lines. |
