My life being compared to a blind. |
This is a translated composition of "Sa Silong ng Mapanglaw na Langit" I slowly walk down the strand I gaze at how each wave hits the slumbered sand It seems as furious as what I've been My heart, in utmost pain, seems pressed and pinned. Every step I take leaves a transient trace My footprints in waves are swiftly effaced. A sign of my misery and hapless gain I seem to be clasped in life's choking chains. My detestation grows deeper and deeper My dreams are starting to shatter I am trapped amidst a trenchant snare These life trials I can no longer fare. I'd rather be blind; this I'd rather long Or lost my hearing to a griefful song. I will no longer feel the utmost ruth And rather be deft to a painful truth. The strength that I needed is beyond my reach A life of fortune? An eternal beseech Where will this torrent drift me by? Will I still suffer until the day I die? On this thorny path, will I forever trod? In life's misfortune, will I continuously plod? Beneath these forlorn, forsaken skies Does hope await? What future lies? |
