STOP

A poem addressing bullying. For the 30 Day Image Prompt Contest.

STOP
         
STOP before you look at him,
With eyes that want to judge his worth.
Choosing only what you see,
and not his footprint on the earth.

He hides in shadows, insecure
Self -confidence is beaten down
His soul is young, heart is pure,
But there your face upon him, frowns.

His peer and friend you could have been;
Instead you chose to do him wrong.
His life and dreams you could have seen,
But bullying is now your song.
