A poem of hope
We stumbled out of Eden past gates that closed as we passed.

Onto a path strewn with uncertainty we climbed to lofty peaks

And plunged into dark ravines while we searched for answers.

Many were the paths that led us astray to dead ends or danger.

We foolishly followed false trails of empty promises

And often willingly plunged off precipices of folly.

Blind faith and trust in mad men caused our race to falter

And backwards we trotted into savage reversal.

Like a fleeced flock many follow charming smiles of guile

While the staunch and trustworthy go unnoticed.

Many are the forgotten names of the true movers who led

Not with charisma but with quiet example.

Though the path to Eden remains closed to many

There are some who will find it's subtle trace

And once again these enlightened few

Will pass Eden's hidden gates to walk in the light.
