A poem about the wonder of fireflies.
Firefly Whispers

They speak with tiny lights,
that glow and effervesce,
a miracle of sights,
their thoughts I have to guess.

In May they take to flight,
with streams of afterglow,
to fill hearts with delight,
while dancing too and fro!

I watch and I'm amazed,
their hunt for love and feast,
just at the end of day,
when sunlight shines the least.

They whisper "come and play,"
one rests upon my finger.
no keeping them at bay,
at sunset while I linger.
