A Joyous Time

An American (and worldly) belief in idealism and identity - a prose poem.

A peaceful, discerning, and joyous moment;
Our quiet and strength lay in the vast stillness;
Miraculous and unwitting,
We are united as one,
Joined profoundly in friendship and cause.

We seek an alliance with other
Notable persons who share
In our oneness and beliefs:
That freedom from harsh words
And ill will shall form the foundation
To everlasting dreams and visions. 

Our impetus has seized the desire
For passion and moral rectitude.
As our friendship grows,
So will our gains,
And these shall encompass
The immense spirit and dedication
Of our prolific youth and most grateful designs.
