This is a story/song describing a kidnapping. All reviews are welcome and encouraged.
A mother's heart skips a beat
then she cries out in deep pain.
Her little girl's not in her room
and she feels she'll go insane.

Dad grabs the phone, dials 911.
Police arrive on scene.
They gather all the evidence
and a picture for T.V.

Dad holds Mommy in his arms,
saying “It's okay.
They're gonna find our little girl.
Help is on it's way.”

Chorus: (duet)

All the missing angels
that are in the world today
are still in each of our hearts
and our reflections when we pray.
And hope lives on inside us
and on the outside too,
for we see their face
in the sunshine rays
and we presume
they'll be home soon.
We'll never stop believin'
even though we must go on.
We're livin' through the grievin'
of not knowing where they've gone.

During a press conference
-a Mother's tearful plea-
She says, “Help me find my daughter.
I miss her desperately.”

That little girl sees her Mom
asking for her safe return.
And the mean old man that took her
is looking a bit concerned.

There's breaking info on the case
after the second day.
Someone saw that little girl
in an out-of-town cafe.

Police head to the restaurant
and pass her photo 'round,
hoping for more knowledge
and praying she'll be found.

A server there remembers
the girl with an old man.
They set out to find her
hoping that they can.

Chorus: (duet)

All the missing angels
that are in the world today
are still in each of our hearts
and our reflections when we pray.
And hope lives on inside us
and on the outside too,
for we see their face
in the sunshine rays
and we presume
they'll be home soon.
We'll never stop believin'
even though we must go on.
We're living through the grievin'
of not knowing where they've gone.

Then a call came in
to the station.
He said, “I have your little girl.
I can see
that she means everything,
that she is your entire world.
I will promise to
bring her back to you
before this day is through,
and I do regret
that I made you fret
over what I chose to do.”

Later on that evening,
hope dancing in her heart,
that little girl sits in a van
out by her favorite park.

Suddenly she sees two shadows
emerging from the trees,
and knowing it's her mom and dad
she trembles in her knees.

Excitement running through her,
she gazes pleadingly
at the man who did this to her
and he frees her shamefully.

There are hugs and tears
and teddy bears
and balloons all around.
She lets go of all her fears
and the cheers are a lovely sound.

Chorus: (duet)

All the missing angels
that are in the world today
are still in each of our hearts
and are in our hearts to stay.
And hope lives on inside us
and on the outside too,
for we see their face
in the sunshine rays
and we presume
they'll be home soon.
And if they did the leavin'
we still must go on.
But the quilt our heart is weavin'
is comfort for them at home.

Quietly fading:

If they did the leavin'
we all must go on.
But the quilt our heart is weavin'
is the hearth of our lovin' home.
