A woman that can't break free of her past to let someone else love her.
Our love, given life with angels' breath
blown via a golden pipe.
A delicate glass sculpture shaped by Venus,
designed to last forever.
If ever a love had promise, it was you and I.

Did I believe you invincible?
You can not part the sea,
or make blind men see.
did I think you could glue
the shattered parts of me?

Perhaps clues, puzzle pieces.
A crumbled part of me
pricked my finger with a pin,
blood from another battle
no one could win.

I live in a fantasy world.
No one has a key.
My bright shining knight,
you never had a chance
loving a woman so lost in her past.

Do not be overwhelmed, my darling.
it's a futile task that doesn't matter.
We know the glue won't stick.
If I made sense,
a boring woman I would be.
