Letter for my cousin who I recently found out was diagnosed with having breast cancer.

I know that this is not what you ever expected to happen. You hear about women who have it or maybe know someone who knows/has someone with it. I never expected for one of those women to be you. I think I may have had teachers at schools I've been at that had it. I just never expected to have a family member diagnosed with it.
I'm sure it's very scary for you and your family. I hope you come out okay in the end and as a stronger young woman for it. I hope to see you again and give you my support. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. It kind of scares me that we visited you guys during the summer of last year. This seems like such a drastic turn around from then. It also leaves me anxious of what may come if things take a turn for the worst. I hope it doesn't come to that. I think the world would miss out on an extraordinary young woman that has so much to give.
I realize you may never see this but I do hope that even if we weren't the closest of cousins, that we still share the same amount of love for each other. I never did have a sister, it's just been my younger brother and I. But I've had you and Nikki and Steffi, even I haven't seen them in a while. I think you guys are the closest to sisters I'm going to get. I know you haven't had the easiest life, but you've made great strives to be the woman you are today. I'm proud to call you my cousin.
With all sincerity, I say God keep you Kathryn.
I wish you a healthy, and happy life ahead of you.
All my love,
