A poem about the birth of a flower
Birth of a Flower

A tender yellow bud
pushing mightily
against the cloying darkness
of voluminous earth,
seeking the sedentary warmth,
a kiss of a barely fragrant breeze,
the blinding brilliance of light,
unknowing, yet knowingly,
is eloquently and meaningfully
born.
