With the passage time, we become the same
Old Man

Old man, take a look at me,
as you once used to be,
I am much the same as you were.

Old man, I take a look at you
and see how I will, too, be,
I will be much the same as you.

Old man, you and I are the same,
only separated by the passage of time.

Old man, when you look back at your life,
do you see yourself as you see me now?
You were much the same as I am.

Old man, when I look into my future life,
will I see myself as I see you now?
I will be the same as I become you.

Old man, you and I are the same,
only separated by the illusion of time.
