On The River Thames. Rhyme.
Cruising down the River Thames on my little boat.
Nothing gives me so much joy, than to be afloat.
Though a U.S. import and built to go to sea.
Cruising down the River Thames is just fine for me.

Passing Windsor Castle and waving to the Queen.
Surely the best castle, that I have ever seen.
Sadly got no time to stop, must be on my way.
Knowing that I should return to my base today.

Mooring up, making tea, then settle for the night.
Waking to the sound of Geese as it’s getting light.
Breakfast time onboard the boat always is a treat.
Brown bread pieces are thrown out for the ducks to eat.

Bright kingfisher flashes past, off to get a fish.
Red Kite searching from above for a tasty dish.
The bats have left the sky, the owl has gone to bed.
The squirrels and some songbirds fill the trees instead.

Jumping fish giving out a brief reflect of light.
Quad sculls passing quickly but soon are gone from sight.
Can’t sit here all day long of that there is no doubt.
Friends are here and will expect to be taken out.

But soon my friends all suggest a charming river bar.
With our lunch and our drinks, we won't be going far.
They went home and I cruised off happy as can be.
Cruising down the River Thames is just fine for me.
