-------------
Can't you see that evolution's not a bad thing
Just a necessary step from where we are to where we must be
It's a journey of discovery
A needed step to maturity
Yet you call it just a rebel act of mutinity

Can't you see it's my time
To ride free in the wind with no encumbrance
Can't you believe it's high time
That I walked a mile all alone
For if I don't how shall I find my way?

Won't you believe that all I ask is not so much
A plea to just release at last my tether
So I can brave the weather
Of the world in brave endeavor
Searching for the concept of 'forever'

Can't you see it's my time
To break free from this shell of lethargy
Can't you see it's high time
That I spread my fragile wings at least to try
To fly

Cause if I wait what will I come to be?
A stunted weed? a gnome of apathy?
With tragic Melpomine my only muse
Remembering the precious years now gone
Twilight years spent recalling the dawn
years in which I failed in all to choose
what to do.

Can't you see it's my time
To ride free in the wind with no encumrance
Can't you see it's high time
That I walked a mile all alone
For if I don't how shall I find my way?
