A child’s desire to have a tree top house where he can enjoy complete freedom.
My Tree Top House
(A poem for children)

Mommy, I want a house on the tree
Where I’ll be totally free;
Where none can scold me,
But just let me be;

I’m not scared to be alone,
But surely I want a phone
To call you when in need,
More so, when hungry, to feed;

Build me a house at the very top
With sturdy branches close to hop;
Where fruits are within my reach,
Fruits like plum, apple or peach;

When night falls at last,
A latch will hold the door fast;
I’ll go to bed without fear
For I know you’re quite near;

When the eastern sky is bright,
When it’s no longer night,
Climb to my beautiful hut,
The door will remain unshut;

We’ll cuddle and pet each other,
Aren’t you my fond mother?
We’ll together sing and play
And make it a memorable day.
