A poem about respecting and caring for our environment.
If a tree could talk
What would it say?
Would it shout or whisper?
Would you pay attention?

If a tree could talk
What would it say?
Take care of me
As I do you?

Treat me gently.
Plant my seeds.
Revere my branches
That give you shade.

Mind the sparrow
That nests so high.
Greet the hawk
Upon my limb.

Make your swings
And climb so high.
Pick my fruit
If you must eat.

But most of all
What a tree would say is,
Care for me
As I do you.
