Take just a few moments
Is there Time? 356 word count

Did you pause to notice as the train quickly traveled by?
Were there passengers aboard or silo grains of bin within?
Did you hear the whistle blow or the squeak against the rail?
Did you heed the school bus as it rapidly rolled along?
Did you glimpse the children on the way to another day of school?
Did you notice their bright faces as they smiled, laughed or played?
Did you stop to wonder as the plane flew overhead?
What destiny might hold for the people crammed inside?
Did you pass on the highway a vehicle of interest?
Was it a family of travelers on the mission of vacation?

Did you sit on the bench under a tree of greenery?
Did you glance upon the passersby to question why they hurried?
Was there just a moment to whisper a warm hello or ponder their life story?
Did you stroll along the wooded trail as daisies kissed your toes?
Did you take the time to let the sweet aroma reach your nose?
Did you ever kneel in your garden to feel the crusty earth?
Did you take the time to plant a seed and tender it with care?
Was there just a minute to praise the beauty of the bloom?
Did you listen to a symphony feeling every note within?
Did you take the time to sing a song and share it with a friend?

Did you ever take the time to say a simple prayer?
Was there time to give thanks to God or pray for someone else?
Did you ever sit on the floor involved in child's play?
Did you escape interruption as you shared their life?
Was there a child whose hand you held and tears you wiped?
Did you take the time to read a bedtime tale?
Did you snuggle, cuddle, and give them love?
Did you notice the excitement on the face of the little boy?
With the whistle blowing as the train quickly traveled by?

Have you ever pondered just how beautiful life can be?
When moments are spent, like money, in pursuit of life itself
