A poem about winter for the Taboo Words Contest
As I sit here waiting until it is my time,
I decided it appropriate to write a little rhyme.
My brothers and sisters are all here with me.
This time of year simply fills us with glee.
The moment we solidify, each one of us unique.
Suddenly, our mother, begins to coax and speak.
That’s, when us, the people start to seek.
See, their excitement is about to peak.
They stand there looking up at us,
I still don’t know why there’s such a fuss.
My time has come to greet them now,
Did that furry one just growl?
We grace them with our presence.
And we can sense the very essence,
Of life and love that fill the air.
This amazing time of year.
Soon my time will all be done,
But for me, this was so much fun.
To see the happy people play,
This wonderfully white glowing day.
