PersonITfication contest entry: Half full or half empty?
The sun pierced through me as the kitchen curtains were flung open.

"I've lost another inch," I grumbled.

"Don't be so pessimistic!" Junior's silhouette shone as a rainbow reflected off his face.

"Easy for you to say," I huffed, "Your cup, so to speak, overfloweth. I, on the other hand, am only half-empty."

"I think you need your glasses checked," Junior smirked, "I'm half full, just like you."

I squinted through the distortions, "Semantics!"

"I can see right through you," Junior snorted, "You might act like an old grump but on the insideā€¦"

"I'm not as transparent as you might think," I scoffed, "Or did you not notice my guest?"

"I can sea him. Get it? Sea?"

"Very funny, kid. I'm crackin' up here. In fact, you just made me change my whole perspective on life with that one joke."

"Really?" Junior beamed.

"No."
