A poem written for a friend betrayed by someone she loved
She stands, underestimated
Eyes cold, freezing their souls
Frost entering their minds
As she stares
Relentless in her gaze
One which once had brought life

She stands, unyielding
Her words cut into their hearts
Her smile a scythe
A promise
Bringing death, destruction
The end of all things

She stands, steady
Hands which had once given love
Curled into fists
Ready for a war she did not start
But where she will emerge victorious
And they can only dream of survival

She stands, unforgiving
On a throne of betrayal
Of lies and facades and faked friendship
Never deviating from her path
One of retribution

She stands. Alone.
The world goes on.
Their lives do not.
