Depression is a very dark time in people lives.
Unbranded Smiles
Mariana Colom
Sixth Grade

The smile she wears is not branded
The real her is stranded
In the old days
With the old ways.

Glimmering eyes,
Is the prize for the lies
That teared her
And made life a blur.

Put together in the outside
Shambles in the inside
It is all just a cover up
Of an adept follow up.

Feels she is fragile
Once agile
With a fortune ahead
But now all is just shreds.

Truth stabs hard
Worse than a glass shard
That she is the fox
And the rest, the ox.

Those are the looks of melancholy
The ones that take her on a meandering trolley
Putting nobody else but her into hesitation
Of the denouement destination.
