There Once Was A Friend

I once was a friend
Never did I ever see him again
Then one night
Out of the fog
I saw a man
Him walking his dog
I must have seen a ghost
It just looks like him
But something looks familiar
My long lost friend
where have you been
He did not move
He didn't speak
He did not smile
He didn't blink
I wanted to cry
He only stood there
My friend and his dog
frozen in time
Then the wind blew
The wind blew him away
With his long lost dog
He disappeared
Into the dark
