Horrific Days of War

Honor is replaced with savagery and barbarism,
Operating under the guise of patriotism.
Reaching the earth's surface from sea to sea,
Reddening the ground with blood from many.
Intake, then exodus of countless lost souls,
Failing to find reasons for the whole~
Intense taking of life; kill or be killed with veracity!
Competing in world war to annihilate humanity.

Murder! Death! Kill!

Downwind of the bombs bursting in air,
Arid breaths in-taking the awful bare~
Yarns of every war, filled with the dead and maimed.
Slicing through the heart of what we call sane.

Only those who don't fight it, want to continue;
Fathers of war, the patriarchal 'pigs' still ensue~

War on every living species.
Answer no one to appease,
Repeat human history in greed.
